Keep Water Flowing Where It Belongs

Full gutter installation and replacement for homes in the Pacific Northwest

Your roof sheds thousands of gallons of water every year, and without gutters that guide it safely away, you risk water damage to siding, window frames, and even your foundation. In Tualatin, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Hillsboro, Oregon City, or Newberg, where steady rain is the norm from fall through spring, gutters stop runoff from pooling at ground level and soaking into the soil around your home. Peak Exteriors installs and replaces gutters designed to move water efficiently, even during the heaviest downpours typical in Tualatin neighborhoods.

Gutters work by catching water at the roofline and channeling it through downspouts to a safe discharge point. We design each system with the proper pitch so water flows without backing up or overflowing. Seamless gutters reduce the number of joints, which means fewer places for leaks to develop over time. Each installation integrates with your existing roofing system to protect both structures and keep them working together for years. Licensed and insured professionals handle the entire installation, from measurement to final connection.

If your current gutters sag, leak, or overflow during storms in the greater Portland area, contact Peak Exteriors to schedule a free estimate.

What Happens During a Full Gutter Install

We start by removing any old gutters still attached to your home, then inspect the fascia boards underneath for rot or damage that could interfere with secure mounting. New gutters are formed onsite to eliminate seams along straight runs, and each section is hung at a slope calculated to drain properly toward the downspouts. Hangers are fastened into rafter tails or solid backing, not just trim, so the system stays in place under the weight of wet leaves and standing water.

After installation, you will notice water flowing cleanly off the roof and away from the house, instead of spilling over edges or splashing against siding. Properly pitched gutters prevent standing water inside the channels, which means less chance of rust, algae buildup, or mosquito breeding. The seamless design also improves the appearance of your roofline, with fewer visible joints and a consistent profile from corner to corner.

We place downspouts where they direct runoff away from high-traffic areas and foundation walls. Extensions and splash blocks are added as needed to keep water from eroding soil or pooling near the base of your home. Gutter guards are available but not included automatically, and we will discuss whether they make sense for your property based on tree coverage and maintenance preferences. This service does not include below-grade drainage or landscaping adjustments.

Questions We Hear Before Starting a Gutter Job

Most homeowners want to know how long the work takes, what happens to the old gutters, and whether the new system will handle the amount of rain their roof collects. These are the questions that come up most often before we begin.

What type of gutters do you install?
We install seamless aluminum gutters in a range of colors to match your trim and siding. The material resists rust and holds up well under constant moisture exposure common in Oregon.
How long does a gutter replacement take?
Most residential gutter replacements in Tualatin are completed in one day. Larger homes or those with complex rooflines may require an additional day depending on the layout.
Why does pitch matter for gutters?
Pitch controls how fast water moves through the gutter toward the downspout. Without enough slope, water sits in the channel and eventually overflows or backs up under the roofline.
What happens to my old gutters?
We remove and haul away the old system as part of the installation. You do not need to arrange disposal or make room in your own trash bins.
Will new gutters stop water from pooling near my foundation?
Gutters control where water goes after it leaves the roof, but the downspouts must empty far enough from the foundation to prevent pooling. We position extensions to direct runoff safely away from the base of your home.
